The DIGITAL RESIDENCY program, carried out in cooperation with Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa, is a reaction to the new situation faced by creators in the COVID-19 era, as well as meeting the expectations of the world of culture and art, which is currently subject to increasing digitization. The project is also a development of program residency activities at OP ENHEIM. It is supposed to popularize the work of, provide financial support and develop new online activities for institutions.
Artists from all disciplines of visual arts from Poland and Germany could apply to participate in the DIGITAL RESIDENCY. Based on the submitted applications, 3 people from each country were selected who took part in the three-week online artist-in-residence. The residencies were carried out from September to the end of October, and each month, in cooperation with the OP ENHEIM team, two people worked simultaneously. During the program, there was also a meeting with the artists, during which they talked about their own artistic practice and the research carried out during the residency. Participants also took part in two educational webinars conducted by specialists from Berlin and Wrocław.
